Measure height of a tower with a Barometer

In an exam, there was a question: "There is a tower. How would you measure the height of the tower using a Barometer?".
Bohr said:
- I could measure the pressure at the bottom, and at the top, and work out the height
- Throw the barometer from the top of the tower, and time the fall, …
- I could knock on the door, and ask the person to tell me the height of the tower in exchange for a nice Barometer.
